INTRODUCTION

Ngaoka is located at the center of Niigata
Prefecture and can be reached in about 80 minutes from Tokyo and about 20
minutes from Niigata on the Jo'etsu Shinkansen. It is known that it is very much snow here in winter. It sometimes becomes over 2m snow heights and we have to fight with snow in the cold season because of the snowplowing. This page mainly shows the view from our department, but somtimes shows the another places. You can know that how hard the culture in the snow area is by seeing these.
